Married to a doctor - mother of one son - stepmother to another - we live in a beautiful home nestled at the foothills - The "boys" enjoy golf - my athletic sport is shopping and we can't forget walking our dog, Polo - however, our most precious times are around the kitchen table having a Bible study.
What is this site about? Well, here is what it is not... It is not to influence you to buy real estate. It is not to pressure you into becoming a Christian. It is not a way to manipulate God within the business industry. Simply, it is about sharing. One overlooked facet about real estate involves the personal stresses that people assume when moving from one home to another, and for many, from relocating from one state to another. That is why our family shares personally with those who are trying to connect with this new community. Purely as an option, you are welcome to comb through my husband's journal entries about faith, and hopefully, his personal insights may provide you with some encouragement.
The Team Concept is a relatively new business model in the real estate industry. It is paramount that you, the client, are not treated as “common” amongst the piles of incoming business or against the backdrop of a fast-changing industry. As we continue to grow our business, we also focus on updating our technologies and resources to create a preventive real estate environment for the client. In effect, this allows the overall transaction process to run more smoothly…God continues to work on our minds about the importance of interconnectivity and spiritual leadership within the modern-day team approach. To this point in our development, as we prosper we also face the intangibles of unexpected trials. I once read, “The mixture of prosperity and adversity are the balanced nutrition for the soul.” Please continue to pray for God’s sovereignty and favor over our business, and more importantly, over our lives. Thank you for your support.

Within the context of a small business, Cherise and I are often more scrutinized by others because we boldly proclaim our faith in the midst of doing business in a very competitive market. We do not discriminate against those who are not Christian clients, nor do we evangelize inappropriately to anyone who does not have any interest in spiritual matters. Rather, we conduct our business according to spiritual principles, trying to serve with compassion and to lead with integrity. To this point in Cherise’s career, she has sold around $60 million dollars or so worth of real estate. Regardless of the material success, my wife still has the heart to serve others with a Christ-like humility. I am so proud of her for this type of faithfulness. And of course, I am in awe about the continual faithfulness of the Lord God Almighty throughout this whole process.

Too many Christians claim their rights as being children of God without actually trusting in God. Something seems shaky about relying on the mismanagement of one’s spiritual pedigree with the command to walk in faith. How can we perfect our spiritual gifts and use them appropriately as children of God without even trusting the One who bestows these upon our life? Inevitably, trust in the risen Christ defines the full meaning of living by grace. “I surrender all…”

No one seems to be talking about God during the Tsunami disaster, yet I contemplate about the mysteries and the power of God. “The mighty oceans have roared, O Lord. The mighty oceans roar like thunder; the mighty oceans roar as they pound the shore. But mightier than the violent raging of the seas, mightier than the breakers on the shore—the Lord above is mightier than these! Your royal decrees cannot be changed. The nature of your reign, O Lord, is holiness forever” (Psalm 93: 3-5).

I so agree with this Canon Theologian of Westminster Abbey. Wright states, “The mission of the church…can be summed up in the phrase ‘reflected glory.’ It is precisely through engaging in the Christological task, focusing on Jesus and allowing our picture of God to be shaped thereby not as a detached intellectual exercise but as the very heart of our worship, our praying, our thinking, our preaching and our living, that we are enabled to reflect that glory” (p. 124).

God could not forfeit one bit of His holiness for the redemption of mankind. Although His character is about love, and a matter of fact, is love, God is also fully life-sustaining in every sense. There is no darkness in Him at all. That is why -- “…Jesus also became flesh and blood by being born in human form. For only as a human being could He die, and only by dying could He break the power of the Devil, who had the power of death. Only in this way could He deliver those who have lived all their lives as slaves to the fear of dying” (Hebrews 2:14-15, NLT). Thank you Lord for your unblemished glory…

“For God’s gifts and His call can never be withdrawn” (Romans 11:29, NLT). Think about how this applies to your theology and way of life…

I continue to desire to have full trust in God. When Scripture says, “You parents – if your children ask for a loaf of bread, do you give them a stone instead? Or if they ask for a fish, do you give them a snake?” I want to be reassured about His unconditional love for my life and the unique relationship that can follow. His word reassures me. His Holy Spirit guides me in truth. In the name of Jesus, bend our souls towards your will…

As most of you already know, I have undergone four neck surgeries and currently live in chronic pain. There are other attendant features of neuropathic pain that contribute to a restrictive lifestyle. Regardless, the Lord keeps dropping nuggets of encouragement into my soul to submit my condition to Him at another level – something deeper, something rooted in the cross, something that requires more faith in God as to glorify His name. So far, Christ has not miraculously healed me of chronic pain. I have lived with pain for the past eleven years. Yet, Christ is calling me to surrender my flesh and my will to Him in an extraordinary way and to follow some practical ways of better dealing with chronic pain. I am contemplating on starting a research project on myself so as to be a messenger to the millions who suffer from chronic pain each year. The pews are filled with these people. The voice for these ailing people is silent. Answers are needed. Maybe perfect solutions cannot be achieved, but the truth and the reality of the living God can be revealed. “…I plead with you to give your bodies to God. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind He will accept. When you think of what He has done for you, is this too much to ask? Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect His will really is” (Romans 12:1-2, NLT).

Becoming a Christian will save your soul, but it does not necessarily preserve a long satisfying life. In order to walk victoriously, one must walk in love and with a full belief of the Word and of a strong dependence in the name of God.

During this past week, the Lord continues to urge my spirit to look beyond the things that I see and to look inward to the Holy Spirit for guidance and direction. I pray that His truth within me bears fruit for the kingdom of God. Although I have not been miraculously cured, I am encouraged to personally undertake a journey about chronic pain and healing. What does this journey look like? I am unsure. Will it involve a personal evaluation and a gleaning of strength from the Lord? Sure it will. A steadfast faith in Christ must overcome the onslaught of doubt and self-pity. When God calls one to a certain walk of faith, He also justifies his or her footsteps along the path. Essentially, this is an effectual call that punctuates the reality of irresistible grace. Piper states, “’Effectual’ means that the call itself effects what it demands, namely faith. If all who are called in this sense regard the cross as the power of God, then something in the call must effect the faith.” Please pray for an increased vision of this journey…

“Why then does my suffering continue? Why is my wound so incurable? Your help seems as uncertain as a seasonal brook. It is like a spring that has gone dry. The Lord replied, ‘If you return to me, I will restore you so you can continue to serve me. If you speak words that are worthy, you will be my spokesman’” (Jeremiah 15:18-19). When we return to the Lord, it seems to me that we do so in an active stage of repentance and service. I have met many Christians who expect the Lord to first perform a healing miracle in their lives so that they can begin to return to Him. As Christians, we already have the faith within us, and as it states in Romans, obedience is birthed from faith. “Holy Spirit, give us the strength to walk in the anointing of Jesus Christ. May we not stumble over our own perceptions of grace. Pour upon us the knowledge of Jesus Christ. Amen.”

Every where you turn it seems like the Christian community preaches a twisted message about prosperity. Personally, I am a firm believer in prosperity, but it is not confined to money nor to the landscape of worldly success. Also, it is not clothed in appearance nor does it subscribe to self-actualization. Cherise and I are very generous givers to eight different ministries. And praise God for, He showers us with love and support. However, I have grave concerns with a majority of “sowing and reaping” messages that are preached from the pulpit. Oftentimes, the motive focuses on the return instead of from the principle of giving. When our expectations are on self-benefits, how is the Christian community any different from the secular one? We both feed off of supply and demand and encourage an appetite of consumerism. In effect, when God gave His own Son over to the hands of death, what did He receive in return? It is all about LOVE…

“Who but God goes up to heaven and comes back down? Who holds the wind in his fists? Who wraps up the oceans in his cloak? Who has created the whole wide world? What is his name—and his son’s name?” (Proverbs 30:4, NLT). As much as I enjoy sports, and more specifically, watching the Super Bowl, I always feel a little glum after observing how the media glorifies the athletic participants. For goodness sakes, we are watching incredible football talent, not worshipping demigods who are fighting for the title, “The greatest living creature in the universe.” It feels like we are all held captive by glitz and glamour, smoke and mirrors, and selective ego manipulation. It was good to see the Patriots come on top as victors. Can you imagine the amount of disregard for honor and dignity we would have been subjected to on television if the Philadelphia Eagles and Terrell Owens would have won the Super Bowl? In conclusion, I am looking forward to the day when the scales of applause are directed toward Him instead of one-dimensional football athletes, like TO…
